How do I start practicing?

Download SpeakUp from the App Store, create an account, choose a practice topic, tap record, speak, and review your AI feedback.

Do I need to pay to try SpeakUp?

No. Your first practice session is free with no credit card required.

What topics can I practice?

SpeakUp includes 30+ topics such as job interviews, elevator pitch, presentations, weekend stories, favorite hobbies, and travel memories.

How much does Premium cost?

Premium Membership costs $7.99/month and includes unlimited practice sessions with full AI analysis.

How do I cancel my subscription?

Go to iPhone Settings, your name, Subscriptions, SpeakUp, then Cancel Subscription. Your access continues until the end of the current billing period.

How do I get a refund?

All subscriptions are processed through Apple. To request a refund, visit reportaproblem.apple.com and sign in with your Apple ID. We cannot process refunds directly.

Why isn't my microphone working?

Go to iPhone Settings, SpeakUp, Microphone, and make sure it is enabled. The app requires microphone access to record your speech.

How accurate is the AI feedback?

SpeakUp uses OpenAI Whisper for transcription and Anthropic Claude for analysis. AI feedback should complement, not replace, human coaching for professional speaking engagements.

Is my audio data private?

Yes. Your recordings are processed securely and used only to generate feedback. We never sell your data. See our Privacy Policy for full details.

Can I use SpeakUp offline?

No. SpeakUp requires an internet connection to send your recordings to our AI servers for transcription and analysis.

What languages are supported?

Currently, SpeakUp supports English only. We're working on adding more languages in future updates.

How long are recordings stored?

Your practice sessions and transcripts are stored as long as your account is active. You can delete individual sessions anytime from the app. To delete all your data, contact us at the email above.

Does SpeakUp work on iPad?

SpeakUp is designed for iPhone. While it may run on iPad, the experience is optimized for iPhone.
